For a long time, Asia Star has been selling objects and keepsakes related to Chinese zodiac. During the summer of 2016, the four member family who owns the shop, decided to make the Zodiac Wall of Chinatown. They made this by pinning 1,152 red envelopes together, intertwining 12 3D picture frames among it. There were 68 different types of red envelopes all together.
Ever since the Zodiac Wall creation, tourists and locals come from all over to check in and take pictures at the wall. During the Chinese New Year, the owner will put out some Chinese drums and lion heads for everyone to experience. It is very fun to watch people learn how to drum and move the lions. If you miss coming by during the Chinese New Year then you should still come to Asia Star to experience these classic Chinese icons.
